Meal Charging and Unpaid Meal Policy

At Grandview ISD, we strive

  • To provide nutritious, healthy meals for all children,
  • To treat all our students with dignity and respect,
  • To maintain a positive experience for your child during meal times, and
  • To promote either parents’ responsibility for meal payments or the self-responsibility of appropriately-aged students.

In order to run our three cafeterias efficiently, however, we cannot operate with large outstanding balances. Therefore, there is a $10.00 charge limit in place to allow for unforeseeable emergencies, but kindly be aware that if your child has a balance of $10.00, an alternate meal will be served.

You can help us keep your students healthy and happy by making sure students have money in their lunch accounts, thus avoiding the need for any alternate meals.  We have put the following systems in place to help you:

  • If a balance is due, your Grandview ISD Food Service Director will strive to contact you by
    • sending out emails weekly to parents/guardians, as well as
    • mailing letters and
    • making phone calls to households.
  • Parents can help us keep your students healthy and happy, as well as stay informed about your students’ accounts, by
    • viewing cafeteria charges and balances at Linq Connect  at any time and
    • making online payments at the same Linq Connect website.

If you have any questions, your Grandview ISD Food Service Director is available at 817-866-4500 and is happy to help you.

Thank You for Working with Your Grandview ISD Cafeterias,
