• Welcome to Grandview Elementary!  It is a perfect day to be a ZEBRA!  Grandview Elementary is a National Blue Ribbon School! This is the highest recognition a school can earn in the nation!  We are also a Capturing Kids Hearts National Showcase Campus for 2 years straight!  We are so very proud of our campus and all of the students!

I am honored to be the principal at Grandview Elementary.  This is my tenth year as principal.  Just a little background on me – this will be my 31st year in education.  The first 11 years in Cleburne teaching 4th grade and G/T.  The next 19 years here in Grandview as a 4th grade teacher, district librarian, assistant principal and principal.  Each year brings new challenges and goals that make the year exciting.

We currently house 650 Pre-K through 5th grade students with special programs such as Title 1, 504, G/T, dyslexia, and special education.  We are proud to offer ZZ Skippers – National jump rope demonstration team and the Zebra Strings - violins.  Both organizations have won many awards and traveled from Branson to New York to Idaho and all around.  UIL academics are a major focus in the fall.  We have won district competition for over 30 years straight and proud of what our staff and students do each year!  Each grade has a special reading program including Bluebonnet, Read Across Texas, and Genre Reading. Capturing Kids Hearts and Champions of Character programs run through the hallways and classrooms of our school.

With support from our PTO, parents, school board, administration and community, our year here at Grandview Elementary will be the best ever!  We are always changing, growing, and welcoming to all that enter.  Please feel free to come and visit me (if you can catch me) or call.  Again – I am excited and proud to be your principal of the best elementary school around!

Champions have Grit! Champions have Character! Champions are leaders!
