  • Rain Gauge

Posted by Stephanie Randolph on 4/14/2020 4:15:00 PM

How did everyone do with making a rain gauge?  Here are some step by step pics of Hadley making hers.

Remember to create your chart and record your data each day.

Do not place your rain gauge where anything is above it.

Remember to pour the water out each day, after you record your data, if there was any in it!

cut and tape the bottle with adult help Cut and tape your bottle with an adult's help!

label your gauge Label your rain gauge using a marker and ruler.  If you don't have a ruler you can use a tape measure or make a ruler on paper.  Remember, from knuckle to knuckle on your pointer is about an inch!!

Hadley with her rain gauge Here is Hadley with her rain gauge! We put it in the rose bush pot so she could dump the water out onto the flowers, after measuring!

Think about these questions.  How does the sky look when you go to collect your data?  How does the air feel? What do the clouds look like?  Be thinking!

Sorry, my pics are sideways.  I cannot figure out how to rotate them, yet!

  • Top Ten Tuesday and Words of Wisdom Wednesday

Posted by Megan Walker on 4/7/2020 11:45:00 PM

Hello, my sweet zebra friends!  I so greatly miss seeing you every day!

Today was Top Ten Tuesday.  Did you journal yours?  I did!  I was surprised by how difficult I found it to be to come up with ten things I don't miss about school.  There's too much I do miss!  I wanted to share my top ten list with you.

I also wanted to chat about our new quote of the week.  It's a gem, and it's as if Theodore Roosevelt wrote this quote specifically for us in this time!  I hope you guys find as much meaning in the quote of the week as I do.  Ask yourself who you'd want to share the quote with and why!  Ask yourself, too, how this quote could help you.  Think it through!

Try this link and see if the video plays for you.  Shoot me an email and let me know!

Take care, my friends!  Stay healthy
