This week we will finish up Ch.2, Sections 1 and 2 with graphing and acceleration, and we will have a quiz over horizontal motion before we move on to vertical motion. I would ideally like to be finished with Ch.2 by Friday, and have lab on Monday, then test Tuesday of next week. Y'all have just breezed right through the beginning material, so we are ahead of schedule! We will also have time for the Egg Drop project, so be preparing for it! I'll hand out the paperwork for it soon! :)
This week we are finally beginning content and reviewing the aspects of the physical world that Physics covers. We will also review metric units and conversions, and dimensional analysis. Calculators are needed, so bring them everyday! :)
** Juniors will be taking the ASVAB the Tuesday we get back from Labor Day. Be sure to meet in the Admin building by 7:50!!
Welcome back to school!! WE HAD A FANTASTIC FIRST DAY!!!
While we get schedules situated and classes leveled, we will explore our True Colors. This will not only give you some insight to yourself, but hopefully it will help you understand your friends and family a little better, and will help you when we are working in groups for both lab and projects. We will begin actual Physics content on Monday, 8-27.
** each student will need a 5 subject spiral for this class by Monday.
** each student will eventually need a scientific calculator (around $10). You won't need this until after Labor Day -- I'll let you know the exact date later.
