Intent:
Allow for students
interested in Drama to be exposed to a diverse array of
dramatic experiences and opportunity within the high school
theatre setting.
Content:
Fall semester will focus on the behind the scenes production
of the UIL One Act Play(s). Being in this class does not
guarantee you a spot in the spring UIL OAP production, but
strong consideration will be taken throughout the fall
semester based upon the work and cooperation demonstrated.
Items
Needed: Pencil and notebook
daily. It will also be necessary fore ach student to keep a
change of painting clothes at the school to protect their
nicer clothing when we are painting scenery, which will be a
lot of days. Other tools and items may become necessary
throughout the year, depending on what is needed for the
productions. Parents and/or organizations that are willing
to donate lumber, paint and supplies to this class and the
productions involved will be greatly appreciated.
Grading:
Participation, cooperation and attendance The more you help,
the better the grade.
Second Semester Schedule will be issued in
January
Students
in this class will be expected to be fully involved with
making and production of both the fall musical and the
spring One Act Play, including the extra rehearsals and crew
times requested ( please see the schedule for the fall
musical).
