| Margaret Roberts later known as Thatcher
,Margaret Hilda Thatcher was born on October, 13 1925 in Grantham,
Lincolnshire. Her father worked at a bakery. Youngest of two
sisters Margaret went to school at Kesteven ,Granthham girls' school
, and Somerville college, Oxford. Then worked as a research
chemist. Later she studied law eventually became a barrister. Her hobbies where reading ,
music, art, opera. On December 13 1951 she married Denis Thatcher ,a successful businessman. A member of the conservative party, Margaret was elected to represent Finchley on October 1959. Tow years later she joined the government. She was53 years and205 days young when she became PM (or prime minister). She spent 11years and 209 days being PM. Margaret Thatcher's nickname was "The Iron Lady". |
