| Vince Lombardi was raised in the Catholic faith and
studied priesthood for tow years. Vince was the star fullback of the
S.T. Francis Preparatory High School. Vince worked at a finance
company ,took night classes at Fordham's law school and played
semi-pro football. In 1954 Vince was in charge of the offensive team for the New York Giants. Within three year of Vince's arrival the Giants were a championships team. His leadership channeled the talents of football great, Frank Gifford. When he coached the Packers, his team dominated the league winning six divisional and five NFL championships, as well as Super Bowls 1an 2. Vince was inducted into the Professional Football Hall of Fame in 1971. |
